Child of the Dark

This one was a random scene that kept popping up in my head. But anyway, I wrote it out and decided to tag it onto one of my many Desire Harem characters. I won’t say who yet though. XD Oh… no yaoi or shonen-ai, yet. XD

The door opened, and he stepped into a small dark room. Frowning, he switched the lights on, and darkness fled as they should. However, he did not expect to see them move towards the boy’s the direction and hover around him. As if protecting him.

Taking note of the strange occurrence and storing it for later reference, he shifted and fixed his gaze on the only other being in the room. The dark-haired child sat at the corner of the room, his arms hugging his folded legs to his chest. Long tangled hair curtained his pale face on both sides, and his wide black eyes stared straight ahead blankly.

Elrieon sighed, and stepped forward as he did for all of his previous visit for the past month. Usually he would stop right in front of him, sit down, and talk to the child in hope for some response. However, this time round, he was stopped before he could reach far. A shadowy tentacle grew swiftly from the darkness around the boy and lashed out at him, and if he was not fast enough, he would have more than a mere cut on his cheek prove the attack.

Rubbing at the sudden injury, Elrieon stared at the child. But he remained as he had been, in the exact same position that he had remained in for thirty full days. Undeterred by the assault, he moved towards the child again.

Again, he did not made much distance as boy’s eyes flashed red, and the darkness pulsed. Cautious, he stopped and his eyes widened when he saw the shadow morphed into dozens of knives and floated before the boy with the blades pointing at himself. Knowing that advancing was no longer an option, Elrieon had no choice but to retreat. And only when he was out of the room then did the dark blades rejoin the mass around the child and flicker restlessly.
