Reference

A list of what I put under the R&G (rating and genre) can be found here. I took the Singapore movie rating system I’m familiar with, changed and redefined it here. As for genre, I referenced Miko no da’s fanfic site and modified them a little. Some little changes have also been made, recently.

Rating System

General	General. It does not contain too much violence or sexual content and anyone can read it.
Teen 16	For teens above age 16. Contain some violence and sexual content.
Mature 18	For the more mature audience above age 18. Contains a lot of violence and sexual content. Read at your own risk.

Genre Definitions

Angst	Depressed feelings
AU	Alternate Universe. Characters are placed in ‘different from original’ settings.
Boys’ Love	A guy and a guy, in a romantic kind of way. Also known as shonen-ai.
BDSM	Features bondage, sadoism and masochism. Be warned.
Dark	Have content that deals with the dark side, negative emotions or twisted actions of humanity.
Deathfic	Main or important plot character(s) dies.
Girls’ Love	A girl and a girl, in a romantic kind of way. Also known as shoujo-ai, or femslash.
Hetero	Short for heterosexual. A guy and a girl in love.
Humor	‘You shall laugh while reading’ or at least find it somewhat hilarious.
Lemon	Explicit sexual content. All those happenings after petting.
Lime	Non-explicit sexual content. All those until petting.
OC	One or more original characters in the writing.
OOC	Out of character. Character takes on different personality.
PWP	Plot? What plot? No real content. Also known as Crackfic.
Sap	More sweet and romantic content than normal.
Parody	A writing that makes fun of other things.
