I can’t remember what’s the prompt for this drabble, when I wrote it for the Weekly Drabbles in RPGDreamers forum. ‘Dancing Queen’ drabble originates from there too. Anyway, I think it has to do with some sort of surprise, me thinks. But I felt like writing my beloved two pairs of characters into a light-hearted scene together, thus this.

His voice sounded beside my ears urgently. “We have to go now!”

I frowned, a large part of my mind still focused on my task at hand. “Just a little more…”

“Hurry, Enya. He’s coming.”

I almost lost my concentration and I bit my lower lip. “I know. Just a bit more…”

“Deimos-sama has gone to delay him, but he says it’s not going well.”

I swore softly, but I continued and got past the most difficult part. Now, one more step…

The door opened. And the fairy lights I was setting up flashed into life.

“Happy birthday, Phobos!”
